Who are we?

Assisted Lives has been serving the community for a number of years. We specialise in providing high quality bespoke Personalised Care & Support Services for individuals in their own homes or out in the community. We work with both private individuals and Local Authorities throughout the Yorkshire region, to deliver only the highest quality level of care to enable individuals to live as independently as possible.

Assisted Lives, unlike many of our competitors is a family run business which is small enough to care, but big enough to cope. We are fully-regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Thanks to our committed management and dedicated care staff, we are proud to be able to say are a progressive company, expanding our range of services and the number of Service Users we support has been steadily increasing.

We are a local Bradford based company, serving most of the Yorkshire region including Wakefield, Calderdale and Leeds as well as Kirklees.

We offer you a discreet, personalised and professional service, with tailored made packages to suit your individual needs, taking into consideration your background and beliefs.

We work together with you, your loved ones, Local Authorities and other health professionals involved in your care to ensure you are given the choice and control over how you’d like your care and support to be delivered.

Because we are a small organisation we are able to offer more of a personal touch, we keep in regular contact with you and your loved ones, so that you soon get to know the Assisted Lives team and we can respond quickly and effectively to your changing needs to suit your requirements. Building a great relationship that you can trust and rely upon is central to how we manage our business.

Personal Care

Our friendly fully trained and experienced staff are on hand to help you to get the most out your day. We’ll help you to get out of bed, washed, showered or bathed and dressed and make you breakfast, to ensure you start your day well. This can include assistance with shaving and personal hygiene management. We’ll assist you to choose your outfit and look after your clothes, to leave you feeling smart and refreshed.

Cleaning

We can offer a full Domestic Cleaning Service, including everything from Deep Cleaning, de-cluttering and Spring Cleaning to weekly organised domestic cleaners. We are extremely flexible and our main aim is to clean your house the way you like it. We provide our own domestic cleaning equipment and use environmentally friendly products. Our staff are fully trained and comply with current Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines.

Shopping

Regular, balanced meals are essential to maintaining good health. We can accompany you to the shops, and help you to do your weekly shopping, or we can help you to create a shopping list and do the shopping for you. But don’t worry, we won’t just stop there, we’ll help you to put it all away and tend to any of your other needs. Then we can either prepare your meal, or assist you with this. We’ll clear away after and help do the washing up for you.

We are aware that people may wish to go to places of worship but due to age, ill health or disability they may no longer be able to do this safely on their own. We are here to help you maintain your independence, ensuring you do so with people who understand your needs, beliefs and culture.

Respite & Temporary Care

If you’re a carer or a family member looking after someone, we know all too well of the demands the role requires, notwithstanding the highly rewarding aspect. If you don’t get much respite from your duties, a few days’ rest can do wonders for your energy levels and enthusiasm, and we can help with that.

Laundry & Ironing

We offer a full washing, laundry and ironing service giving you back your precious time, whilst delivering a quality service to your door at a time suited to you. We can either use your facilities in your own home, if available or do a collect and return service. Your items cleaned, ironed and neatly hung away into your wardrobes as you wish.

Live in Care

We offer a Live-in-Care Service to enable you to live in the comfort of your own home, maintain your independence so you have maximum flexibility, choice and control over your life. Within the freedom and safety of your own home, you’ll enjoy one-to-one support from conscientious, friendly and fully trained Support Workers. You can relax, knowing that there is someone there for you, seven days a week, available whenever you need them, but out of your way when you don’t. Our friendly team can help with your housework, personal care and shopping, or simply provide good company.

Domestic Duties

Say goodbye to your chores! We can help you with some of those tedious routine jobs, such as cleaning, laundry and ironing. These chores can be very physically demanding, so it’s good for clients to get relief from the pressures of these never-ending tasks. If you cannot manage these chores or simply want to save energy and spend your time more productively with friends and family, we can help you. We offer a whole range of domestic support services within your own home. As with all our services, this support is completely flexible to meet your own personal needs and preferences, so just ask if you want us to carry out chores that aren’t described below. These can include, washing up, cleaning the oven, defrosting the freezer, house sitting or key holding.

Social Inclusion & Leisure Activities

Getting out and about can work wonders for your wellbeing. Our friendly Support Workers assist many of our Service Users to access a range of leisure and community based activities. Whether you’d like to go to watch the latest films, going out for a walk, attending a day centre, visiting friends or family, a meal out with friends, or visiting museums and theme parks we can support you! We’ll also transport you, stay with you throughout your time, to ensure your wellbeing and most importantly that you’re having a good time.

What it takes to join Assisted Lives

Our Support Workers make a real difference to peoples’ lives, both at home and supporting them out in the community.

Care experience is useful but NOT always necessary as we provide full training.

Having access to transport and flexible availability is also advantageous.
